Description

This classic Pooh keepsake box gives a child's first shoes, first mittens and treasured cards a proper home, in soft cream printed all over with gentle illustrations. On the lid, Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger wander through a sketched meadow beneath the words 'My favourite part of the day is the part I spent with you', with a round 'My little keepsakes' badge in the corner. Lift the lid and its inside shows a hand-drawn map of the Hundred Acre Wood, with two tall pockets in front labelled 'first shoes' and 'cards and keepsakes'. The rectangular box measures 8.4cm high, 17cm wide and 22.4cm deep.

In the base sit five little lidded compartments, labelled keepsakes, treasures, first mittens, memories and precious things, each with a finger hole for lifting. Beside them is an oval photo window that takes a 5 x 3.5in picture, under the line 'Whatever there is in all the world is with us here.' It is the kind of box that keeps a hospital bracelet, a first curl or a favourite card safe and sorted. It suits a child aged three to twelve as a keepsake for their bedroom shelf, where they can look back over their earliest things with you.

The box is freestanding, so it sits happily on a shelf, dresser or bedside table with no fixings, and the hinged lid lifts with a ribbon pull at the front.
