Class 20 Light Crystal & Glass Cluster Pendant - Chrome & Black

The Diyas Class is a 600mm circular cluster pendant built around 20 G4 halogen bulbs suspended on individual wires from a polished chrome canopy. Between the bulbs sit handcrafted black glass loops filled with resin, each forming a curved sculptural element. Clear Asfour crystal spheres hang on wire strands alongside the loops, positioned to catch and refract light from the 20 halogen sources.

Designed for double-height entrance halls, large dining rooms and contemporary living spaces with ceiling heights of 3m or above, the Class requires a 1000mm drop from ceiling to the lowest point of the cluster. The 600mm diameter covers a floor footprint of approximately 1.5m when viewed from below, making it suitable for tables 1.6-2m wide or open-plan areas where the pendant acts as a zone marker rather than direct task lighting. The 20 x 10W G4 bulbs deliver a combined 200W output, providing ambient light rather than concentrated beam patterns.

The black glass loops contrast against the polished chrome canopy and the clear crystal droplets, creating a three-tone palette that pairs with monochrome, industrial and high-contrast contemporary interiors. Each of the 20 G4 bulbs is included with the fitting and the entire assembly is dimmable using a trailing-edge dimmer switch. The combined weight of 11.5kg requires ceiling joists or a reinforced ceiling rose capable of supporting at least 15kg once installed.

Are the G4 bulbs included?

Yes. All 20 G4 halogen bulbs are supplied with the fitting. The specification states these are not LED/CFL compatible, so replacement bulbs must be halogen G4 capsules rated at 10W maximum per socket.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 1000mm drop from canopy to the lowest point of the cluster makes this pendant suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 3m or above. In lower-ceiling spaces the pendant may dominate the room or sit too low for comfortable head clearance in circulation zones.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The Class requires a trailing-edge dimmer switch to dim the 20 halogen bulbs smoothly. Standard leading-edge dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs may cause buzzing or flickering with the low-voltage G4 halogen sources.

How is the pendant supported?

The 11.5kg weight requires a ceiling joist or a reinforced ceiling rose rated to support at least 15kg. Standard plasterboard fixings are not adequate — the pendant must be mounted into solid timber or a metal ceiling mounting plate.
