The Class is a 450mm square cluster pendant light built around ten G4 halogen bulbs (included), each suspended within handcrafted glass loops filled with black resin and set against a polished chrome canopy. Asfour crystal spheres hang on fine cable drops between the glass elements, refracting light through the black geometry. The pendant drops 1000mm from ceiling to the lowest crystal, creating a vertical cascade of light and reflection.

Designed for high-ceiling spaces including double-height entrance halls, above staircases, and over dining tables in rooms with 3m+ ceiling heights, the Class functions as both light source and architectural feature. The 200W combined output from ten 20W G4 capsule bulbs provides substantial illumination, while the crystal and black glass elements distribute that light into fractured patterns across surrounding walls and ceilings. The square canopy measures 450mm per side, requiring a central ceiling rose or junction box capable of supporting the 11.5kg weight.

Each black glass loop is individually crafted, filled with resin and polished, giving slight variation between elements. The Asfour crystal spheres vary in size along each drop, with larger spheres positioned lower in the cascade to balance visual weight. The polished chrome canopy provides a reflective accent that contrasts with the opaque black glass, while the fine suspension cables remain visible as part of the design rather than being concealed. The fitting requires a trailing edge dimmer (not included) for dimming functionality and is not compatible with LED or CFL G4 bulbs.

Are the G4 bulbs included?

Yes. The fitting ships with ten 20W G4 halogen capsule bulbs installed. Replacement bulbs must be G4 halogen capsules rated at 20W maximum — the fitting is not compatible with G4 LED or CFL bulbs due to the integrated transformer design.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 1000mm drop means the lowest crystal hangs approximately 1m below the ceiling rose. For safe head clearance and visual balance, ceiling heights of 3m or above are recommended. Lower ceilings can accommodate the fitting if the drop is shortened during installation, though this may affect the cascade effect.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, but only with a trailing edge dimmer compatible with halogen lighting. Standard leading edge dimmers may cause flickering or damage to the integrated transformer. The dimmer is not included and must be specified and installed separately.

How is the weight supported?

At 11.5kg, the Class requires a ceiling rose or junction box mounted to a joist or solid structure, not just plasterboard. The installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician who can confirm the ceiling structure can support the load safely.
