Description
The Clarixa is a 60cm aluminium bollard light with an integrated 3000K LED, designed for pathway, driveway and garden border lighting. The grey powder-coated finish and rectangular profile measure 95mm wide by 150mm deep, creating a low-profile marker light that directs illumination downward onto the ground rather than outward into garden beds or neighbouring properties.
The IP54 rating provides protection against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making the Clarixa suitable for exposed garden paths, gravel driveways, and patio edges where rain, irrigation spray and ground moisture are present. The bollard mounts onto a flat base plate with four fixing points, allowing it to be surface-mounted onto concrete, paving slabs or timber decking. At 60cm height the light head sits below typical knee height, reducing glare for people walking past while still casting useful ground illumination.
The 3000K colour temperature produces warm white light that softens the grey aluminium finish and complements natural stone, brick and timber surfaces commonly found in UK gardens. The integrated LED removes the need for bulb replacement over the bollard's operational life, and the non-dimmable driver simplifies installation to a standard 230V mains supply without requiring additional dimmer circuitry. The rectangular form and grey finish pair with contemporary architecture and minimalist garden design, particularly where multiple bollards are installed in a sequence along a path or driveway edge.

Frequently Asked
What does IP54 mean for outdoor use?
IP54 provides protection against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction. The Clarixa can handle rain, garden sprinklers and ground moisture, but should not be submerged or installed where it will be subjected to high-pressure water jets during cleaning.
How is the bollard mounted?
The bollard sits on a rectangular base plate with four fixing points. It can be surface-mounted onto concrete, paving slabs, or timber decking using appropriate fixings for the substrate. The mains cable feeds through the base before connection.
Can the LED be replaced?
The LED is integrated into the bollard and not user-replaceable. Ideal Lux covers the LED under the 5-year warranty. If the LED fails within the warranty period, the entire unit is typically replaced.
What spacing is recommended between bollards?
For pathway lighting, spacing between 2.5m and 4m typically provides continuous ground illumination without overlapping pools of light. Closer spacing creates brighter paths; wider spacing suits ambient garden lighting where full visibility is less critical.
