Description

The Clarion is a 28mm recessed LED downlight with a white metal trim ring and an integrated 3W LED module rated at 3000K. The CRI90 colour rendering index ensures artificial light reveals colours and textures closer to how they appear under daylight, making the Clarion suitable for areas where colour accuracy matters, such as dressing rooms and home offices.

Designed for ceiling recesses in dry indoor spaces, the Clarion sits flush with the ceiling plane once installed, leaving only the 28mm white trim ring visible from below. The IP20 rating limits use to areas without direct water exposure, so the fitting works in general living spaces, bedrooms, hallways and offices, but not in shower zones or outdoor soffits. The 3W output provides accent or task lighting rather than general illumination, so multiple fittings are typically installed in a grid or line to cover a room.

The white powder-coated metal trim resists yellowing over time and pairs cleanly with white ceilings, making the fitting almost invisible when not lit. The integrated LED removes the need for separate bulb purchases and the 5-year warranty covers the LED module and driver together. The warm 3000K colour temperature sits between neutral white and traditional incandescent tones, producing a light that works in both contemporary and traditional interiors without skewing too cool or too warm.

Frequently Asked

Is the Clarion dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. If dimming is required, consider an alternative downlight model with a dimmable driver.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

What size ceiling aperture is needed?

The 28mm diameter refers to the visible trim ring. The recess aperture and installation depth required are not listed in the specification table — consult the installation instructions or contact us for the exact cutout diameter and void depth before ordering.

What light output does 3W provide?

A 3W LED typically produces 200-300 lumens depending on the driver efficiency. This is accent or task-level output, not general room illumination. Multiple fittings are usually installed in a pattern to provide adequate coverage across a room or corridor.
