Christmas Number One Square Ceramic Coaster in Window Box - Pink

This square ceramic coaster brings a cheeky dose of festive pop culture to the table, with a bold printed design on a pale pink ground. At its centre is an illustrated silver-haired man in a dark suit and open-necked white shirt, looking wonderfully unimpressed as four women in red Santa-style dresses trimmed with white fur gather round him. Black film-reel strips sweep across the corners, scattered with red, green, white and gold glitter-look stars, and a gold glitter-look film camera sits above the group. Beneath it all, bold black capitals read "You're my Christmas number one... again". It measures 10cm along each side and 0.5cm deep, a handy size for a mug or a glass.

It earns its place on a coffee table, a kitchen table or a desk all through December, ready for a cup of tea, a hot chocolate or a glass of something festive. The message makes it a Christmas gift with a wink: tuck it into a stocking, add it to a hamper, or hand it over when those words say exactly what you mean. Anyone who rewatches the same festive films every year will get the joke straight away, and it is sure to raise a smile at a Christmas get-together.

The coaster is ceramic, with the design printed across its square face, and it comes in a window box, so it is ready to give without any extra wrapping. At half a centimetre deep it sits low and tidy under a mug and slips easily into a drawer once the decorations come down. To keep the print looking bright, wipe it with a damp cloth and dry it with a soft one, and we would keep scouring pads and harsh cleaners away from the printed face. For a small present that says a lot, wrap it up with a favourite mug and a box of mince pies.
