Description
The Christina is an 8-light crystal chandelier with eight curved arms radiating from a central column, each arm supporting a cut glass sconce and clusters of faceted crystal drops. The frame carries a hand-applied silver and gold patina finish that layers warm metallic tones over the base metal, creating depth and variation across the chandelier's surface. Each arm holds an E14 candle bulb (sold separately, max 60W per socket) behind the glass sconce.
Designed for formal dining rooms, entrance halls and larger living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Christina measures 700mm diameter and weighs enough to require secure ceiling fixing. The 1240mm chain allows the drop to be adjusted between 665mm and 1525mm on installation, and the chandelier can be converted to a semi-flush ceiling mount for rooms with lower ceilings by removing the chain and fixing the canopy directly to the ceiling rose.
The crystal drops are individually hung on wire loops threaded through the curved arms, positioned to catch and refract light from the eight bulbs. The hand-applied patina finish means each chandelier shows slight variation in how the silver and gold layers settle on the metal — some areas lean warmer (more gold visible), others cooler (more silver showing through). The cut glass sconces beneath each bulb add a second layer of light diffusion, softening the direct bulb output while the crystals throw refracted highlights onto surrounding walls and ceilings.
From Elstead Lighting, the Christina pairs classical chandelier proportions with a dual-tone metallic finish that bridges traditional and transitional interiors. The 700mm width suits tables of 1800-2400mm length when hung as dining room lighting, or works as a centrepiece in hallways and landings where the drop space allows the full height to be appreciated.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Christina chandelier take?
The chandelier takes eight E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, sold separately. Maximum wattage is 60W per socket. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for ambient dining room or hallway lighting.
Can it be fitted to lower ceilings?
Yes. The chandelier can be converted to a semi-flush ceiling mount by removing the chain and fixing the canopy directly to the ceiling rose. This reduces the overall drop to the minimum 665mm, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights around 2.4m.
What size dining table does it suit?
The 700mm diameter works well over dining tables between 1800mm and 2400mm long. As a general rule, the chandelier width should be roughly one-third to one-half the table length to maintain proportion.
How is the silver and gold finish applied?
The finish is hand-applied, meaning layers of silver and gold patina are brushed or wiped onto the metal frame. This creates variation between individual chandeliers — some show more gold in certain areas, others more silver. This is characteristic of the hand-finishing process, not a defect.
