Description

The Chateau is a 2-light wall sconce built on a mocha bronze backplate with scrolled metalwork arms extending from a central shield motif. Each arm holds a candle sleeve in cream with an E14 fitting, and four faceted crystal droplets hang from the scrollwork on chain links. The mocha bronze finish shows darker brown tones with lighter copper highlights where the metal has been aged and distressed.

Designed for hallways, dining rooms and living rooms with period or traditional styling, the sconce works as flanking pairs on either side of a mirror or artwork, or as singles to light a corridor. The 114mm projection from the wall gives clearance for the crystal droplets to hang without touching the surface. The backplate measures 229mm wide by 298mm high, fitting comfortably on walls between doorframes and architectural features without overwhelming the space.

The metalwork is cast steel with hand-applied mocha bronze finish that shows tonal variation across the piece, giving depth to the recessed shield detail and raised scrollwork. The crystal droplets are faceted to catch and refract light from the candle bulbs (sold separately), creating small points of reflected light on surrounding walls when the fitting is switched on. The sconce takes two E14 bulbs up to 60W each, allowing flexibility to choose filament-effect LED bulbs for a warm glow or clear candle bulbs for sharper light.

The Chateau takes two E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a soft traditional glow.

Can it be mounted on both sides of a mirror?

Yes. The sconce is designed to work as a flanking pair. When ordering two, ensure spacing allows for the 229mm width plus the desired gap between the mirror edge and each fitting.
