Description

The Chartworth is a base-only table lamp with a stepped, tapering stem, made to be paired with a shade of your choice. It gives you a starting point to build a lamp that fits your room, rather than a fixed design. The base stands 308mm tall with a 110mm diameter and weighs 0.6kg. It takes a single E14 bulb up to 7W, works with E14 LED bulbs, and comes with an inline on and off switch on a 1.5 metre black cable.

Because it is sold as a base, the Chartworth suits anyone who wants to choose their own shade and change it later as tastes or seasons shift. It works well on a bedside table, shelf or console, and a 16cm shade keeps the proportions neat. Buy two for a matching pair either side of a bed, then dress each with the same or complementary shades for a co-ordinated look that you can update whenever you like.

The stem has a stepped profile finished in either warm brushed brass or antique bronze, both plated over metal. It is a Class 2 double insulated fitting, so no earth is needed, and IP20 rated for dry indoor use. We recommend pairing it with one of our 16cm decorative fabric shades to complete the lamp. To care for it, wipe the plated base with a soft dry cloth and avoid abrasive or chemical cleaners that could dull the finish. As a base within a wider range of shades, the Chartworth lets you tailor the finished look to the room.
