Description

The Charlize is a 3-light cluster pendant combining three electroplated glass shades in copper, gold and clear finishes, each fitted with an integrated 6W 3000K LED. The three shades hang at staggered heights from a 45cm-diameter brushed dark grey aluminium ceiling plate, with cable drops adjustable between 50cm and 160cm on installation. Opal acrylic diffusers inside each shade soften the light output and reduce glare.

Designed for entrance halls, dining nooks, kitchen islands and stairwells where a compact multi-point light source is needed, the Charlize works in ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The staggered drop positions the three shades at different levels, creating visual depth without requiring a wide horizontal spread. The combined 18W output and 660 lumens provide ambient light rather than task lighting, so the pendant typically pairs with secondary sources in larger rooms.

The electroplated glass finishes create different light qualities depending on the shade: the copper reflects warm tones onto nearby surfaces, the gold produces a softer amber glow, and the clear shade transmits direct white light. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations. The pendant carries a Class 1 electrical rating, requiring an earth connection during installation. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model used.

The fixture ships with gravity toggles for plasterboard ceiling installation and includes assembly instructions. The brushed aluminium canopy measures 45cm across, larger than many 3-light cluster plates, which helps distribute the ceiling load and provides visual balance for the three hanging shades.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop ranges from 50cm to 160cm. For installation above a dining table or kitchen island, the shades typically hang 700-800mm above the surface, requiring a minimum ceiling height of approximately 2.4m. Higher ceilings allow the full 160cm drop for more dramatic effect in hallways or stairwells.

Can individual shades be positioned at different heights?

Yes. The three cable drops can be adjusted independently during installation, allowing the shades to be set at staggered heights or aligned at the same level depending on preference.
