Description

The Charlize is a 16-light cluster pendant with electroplated glass shades in copper, gold, silver and clear tones, suspended from a 750mm dark grey circular canopy. Each shade contains an integrated LED with an opal acrylic diffuser, creating 16 independent drops that cascade at varying lengths from the canopy. The total 96W LED output delivers 3,520 lumens at 3000K warm white with a CRI of 85+.

Designed for high-ceiling spaces such as double-height hallways, stairwells and open-plan living areas where vertical drop of 1.5m to 3m is available, the Charlize acts as both ambient light source and vertical visual anchor. The canopy mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose using the supplied gravity toggles, which distribute the 13.6kg weight across the ceiling structure. The remote-controlled dimmer set supports both TRIAC and 0-10V protocols, allowing the light output to be adjusted from full brightness down to a low glow without switching off.

The electroplated glass finishes vary in reflectivity and translucency — the copper and gold shades offer warmer metallic reflections when lit, the silver provides cooler tones, and the clear glass allows the bulb glow to pass through with minimal colour shift. The brushed aluminium suspension cables and dark grey canopy provide a neutral framework that allows the mixed glass colours to dominate the visual composition. The pendant carries an IP20 rating, limiting it to dry indoor locations only.

What ceiling height is required for the Charlize?

The pendant requires a minimum ceiling height of 2.65m to accommodate the 1.5m minimum drop plus clearance below the lowest shade. The maximum adjustable drop is 3m, which suits double-height spaces up to 4m ceiling height. The drop length is set during installation by adjusting the suspension cables.

How does the remote dimming work?

The Charlize includes a remote-controlled dimmer set compatible with both TRIAC and 0-10V dimming protocols. The remote allows stepless dimming from full 3,520-lumen output down to a low ambient glow without switching the pendant off entirely. The dimmer unit integrates between the mains supply and the pendant canopy during installation.

Can individual shades be replaced if damaged?

The electroplated glass shades are not sold as individual replacement parts by Schuller. If a shade is damaged, contact Niori customer service to enquire about availability of spares for this specific model.

Is the Charlize suitable for low ceilings?

No. The 1.5m minimum drop makes it unsuitable for standard 2.4m UK ceiling heights. It is designed specifically for high-ceiling spaces such as voids, stairwells, hallways and double-height living areas where vertical impact is the design intent.
