Description

The Chariot is a 48cm ceramic table lamp built around a flattened spherical base with soft curved edges, covered in a hand-applied dimpled surface texture. Each circular dimple is individually applied to the ceramic before glazing, creating a repeating pattern across the entire surface. The glaze itself blends antique cream and brown tones in a variegated finish, so the colour shifts slightly across different sections of the sphere depending on how the glaze settled during firing.

Designed for console tables, sideboards, window ledges and bedroom nightstands where depth is limited, the lamp measures just 21cm front-to-back while standing 48cm tall including the shade. The included ivory oval drum shade is made from natural unbleached linen fabric and diffuses light softly for ambient use in living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. The lamp is fitted with a 120cm black cable and an inline rocker switch positioned approximately 30cm from the base, so the lamp can be switched on and off without reaching behind furniture or unplugging.

The ceramic base weighs 1.6kg and sits on a flat footprint that remains stable on narrow surfaces. Because each lamp is hand-finished, the exact distribution of brown and cream tones varies between individual pieces — no two lamps are identical.
