Description

A ceiling rose, 90cm tall, in champagne. At 10cm wide it is about the width of a laptop.

Warm tones sit naturally with timber, brass and anything with a yellow bias in it, and fight cooler greys unless something else in the room bridges them. The trade name for this is a ceiling rose. It covers the hole the cable comes out of, carries the flex and holds the lampholder, which is why one of these plus a shade is a complete pendant. Steel carries a load through a thinner section than any timber can, which is why a steel frame can look this light and still not flex. Powder-coated, it takes a knock as a chip rather than a dent.

It takes 1 E27 screw-fit bulb. E27 is the commonest fitting on any supermarket shelf, so replacements are never a hunt. It is dimmable, so the level is set at the wall rather than fixed at the bulb. The cable is clear. It hangs from 15cm, so it clears a table without cutting the sightline. A GLS shaped bulb, which is the word to look for on the box.

It needs nothing beyond dusting, and a damp cloth on the finish rather than anything solvent.
