Description

A wide white ceramic disc with a wood detail, this one sits close to the ceiling and spans a full 1.22m across. The LED is built in and draws 20W, and a handset does the work: brightness up and down, plus colour temperature that runs from a warm domestic glow through to a crisp cool white. A DC fan sits within the housing, so the fitting moves air as well as light. There is no pull cord and no separate dimmer to hunt for, as the remote covers both jobs.

We reach for this in a wide bedroom or a family living room where a hanging fitting would sit too low and a fan on its own would crowd the ceiling. It gives about 3600 lumens, enough to be the only light a large room needs, and the tuneable white means you can drop to something soft for the evening then bring it back up cool and clear for cleaning or homework. The fan makes it useful across the year rather than just in July, and the handset means nobody has to get out of bed to turn anything down.

The body is ceramic, glazed white and heavy enough to feel properly made, with wood bringing a softer note to the underside. Dust settles on a broad shade like this, so give it an occasional pass with a soft dry cloth and keep polish and sprays away from the glaze.
