Description
The Cell is a 75cm bollard light built from an aluminium frame finished in graphite, with a square polycarbonate diffuser cage surrounding a single E27 bulb holder. The IP54 rating provides dust and splash-water protection for installation in pathways, driveways, garden borders and perimeter lighting where mid-height illumination is needed.
Designed for residential and commercial outdoor applications, the 75cm height puts the light source at mid-shin level, providing path-marking and safety lighting without throwing light upwards into windows or neighbouring properties. The 14.5cm square footprint suits installation alongside paving slabs, decking edges, and narrow pathways where larger bollards would obstruct movement. The bollard is typically installed with a ground spike or a base plate fixed to a concrete foundation, depending on the ground surface.
The polycarbonate diffuser cage shields the bulb from impact while allowing light to radiate in all four directions, giving 360-degree coverage around the bollard position. The graphite finish on the aluminium frame is a dark anthracite grey that sits neutrally against most paving materials and garden planting without drawing visual attention during daylight. The E27 socket accepts LED, CFL or filament bulbs up to 15W, allowing choice of colour temperature and brightness to suit the application.

Frequently Asked
What IP rating does the Cell bollard have?
The bollard is rated IP54, providing protection against dust ingress and splashing water from any direction. This is suitable for outdoor installation in UK weather conditions including rain and occasional standing water from heavy downpours, but the bollard should not be submerged.
What bulb does it take?
The Cell takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 15W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use a warm-white LED between 6W and 10W at 2700K-3000K for pathway lighting.
How is the bollard installed?
Installation typically uses either a ground spike driven into soil or a base plate bolted to a concrete foundation, depending on the surface. The electrical cable runs through the internal column to connect to an outdoor-rated supply. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK wiring regulations.
What height is best for pathway lighting?
The 75cm height provides mid-shin level illumination, which is effective for marking pathway edges and providing safety lighting without creating glare at eye level. Taller bollards (100cm+) suit wider driveways and commercial applications, while shorter bollards (40-50cm) suit narrower garden paths.
