Description

The Celeste Medium is a 610mm diameter pendant light built from a curved matt black aluminium outer shell paired with a white polycarbonate inner diffuser. The pendant houses two integrated LED modules delivering 30W total power and 2100 lumens at 3000K warm white, distributed through a 120-degree beam angle. The diffuser sits flush with the open underside of the aluminium cage, creating a soft illuminated base that contrasts with the dark outer frame.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and lounge areas with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Celeste Medium provides both downward task lighting and ambient wash light off the diffuser surface. The drop adjusts between 350mm minimum and 1900mm maximum, allowing the pendant to be set 700-900mm above a dining table or worktop depending on ceiling height. Fine suspension cords run from a circular black ceiling plate and support the 3.2kg aluminium and polycarbonate assembly without visible chain.

The matt black finish on the aluminium reduces reflections and provides a defined silhouette when viewed from any angle in the room, working particularly well against white ceilings and lighter walls where the pendant's curved geometry stands out clearly. The white polycarbonate diffuser hides the LED modules from direct view while allowing the full 2100 lumens to pass through, creating an even wash of light downward without glare points. The 610mm diameter makes the Celeste Medium suitable for tables seating 4-6 people or kitchen islands around 1200-1800mm long.

Is the Celeste Medium dimmable?

No. The integrated LED modules are rated at 30W on 220-240V mains and are not compatible with dimmer switches. The 2100 lumen output is fixed.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 1900mm maximum drop allows the pendant to be set 700-900mm above a dining table or worktop in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can accommodate the Celeste if the drop is shortened to the 350mm minimum, though this configuration reduces the visual impact of the pendant's depth.

What size table does it suit?

The 610mm diameter works well over dining tables seating 4-6 people or kitchen islands around 1200-1800mm long. For larger tables or islands exceeding 2000mm, consider pairing two Celeste Medium pendants or using the larger Celeste variant if available.

Can the aluminium cage be cleaned?

Yes. The matt black aluminium can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the surface and do not use abrasive cleaners or polishes that could dull the matt finish.
