Description
The Cedar Point is a 445mm outdoor pedestal light with a black metal frame built around four seeded glass panels that diffuse light through a textured surface. The lantern-style housing sits on a fluted pedestal base with a square mounting plate, designed to cap gate posts, driveway pillars, garden walls and pathway columns. An IP44 rating protects the fitting against rain and splashing from any direction.
Designed for year-round outdoor use in UK climates, the pedestal light takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or filament bulbs depending on the light temperature and output needed for the location. The seeded glass creates a rippled diffusion effect when lit, softening the light source and reducing glare at eye level when the fitting is mounted on a typical 600-800mm post or pier.
The black finish is a powder-coated metal that resists corrosion and fading under UV exposure. The frame geometry uses horizontal and vertical bars in a grid pattern that references Arts & Crafts and lodge-style architectural detailing, making the fitting compatible with both traditional and contemporary exteriors. The pyramidal roof cap with square peak completes the lantern silhouette and sheds rainwater away from the glass panels.
The 197mm square footprint keeps the fitting proportionate to standard 200-250mm square pier caps and post tops. The mounting plate fixes with screws through the base, and the cable entry is through the centre of the pedestal column, concealing wiring inside the post or pier structure.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Cedar Point takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor accent lighting on pathways and driveways.
Can this be used in all weather?
Yes. The IP44 rating protects the fitting against rain and splashing from any direction, making it suitable for year-round outdoor use in UK climates. The seeded glass panels are sealed into the metal frame to prevent water ingress.
What post size does it suit?
The 197mm square mounting plate is designed for standard 200-250mm square pier caps and post tops. The base fixes with screws through the mounting plate, and the cable entry is through the centre of the pedestal column.
How is the seeded glass different from clear glass?
Seeded glass has a textured, rippled surface that diffuses light more evenly than clear glass, reducing glare and softening the appearance of the bulb when viewed at eye level. This makes it more comfortable for pathway and driveway lighting where the fitting is often viewed directly.
