Description

The Cayman is a round wall-mounted reading light with two independent integrated LEDs housed in a 150mm diameter satin gold backplate. A 3W directional reading arm provides 30° beam angle focused light, while a 6W LED behind the backplate produces 120° diffused warm white light that washes the wall. Both LEDs run at 3000K and are controlled separately via built-in rocker switches on the backplate.

Designed for bedside reading positions, the Cayman provides dedicated task light without disturbing a partner sleeping on the other side of the bed. The reading arm projects 110mm from the wall and can be angled to direct light onto a book, phone or tablet, while the halo backlight can be switched on independently to provide ambient room lighting without the concentrated reading beam. The dual-function design suits hotel headboards, bedroom alcoves and living room reading chairs.

The satin gold finish is a brushed yellow-gold metal that diffuses reflections compared to polished brass, giving a warmer metallic accent that pairs with both warm-toned and neutral interiors. The combined 9W LED output delivers 620 lumens total, equivalent to a 50W halogen bulb, while the separate control means you can run just the 3W reading light when only task lighting is needed. Can the reading arm be adjusted?

The reading arm is fixed in position but the 30° beam angle provides enough spread to cover a typical reading area when mounted 600-900mm above mattress level. The arm projects 110mm from the wall to direct light downward and forward.

Can both lights be used at the same time?

Yes. The two integrated LEDs are controlled by separate rocker switches on the backplate, so you can run the 3W reading light alone, the 6W halo backlight alone, or both together depending on whether you need task lighting, ambient lighting, or both.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LEDs are not dimmable and the unit does not carry dimmer compatibility. Both the 3W reading light and 6W halo run at fixed brightness when switched on.

What height should it be mounted at?

For bedside reading, mount the Cayman 600-900mm above mattress level so the reading arm light reaches the pillow area. For armchair reading positions, mount 1100-1300mm above floor level, approximately shoulder height when seated.
