Description

The Cayman is a 150mm round wall light from Mantra that combines a 3W adjustable LED reading arm with a 6W LED ring mounted behind the backplate. The adjustable arm casts a focused 30° beam of 3000K warm white light for close-range reading or task work, while the backplate ring casts a wider 120° ambient glow onto the wall behind. Each LED operates independently via its own rocker switch integrated into the backplate face, allowing the light to be used as a reading spot, a background wash, or both simultaneously.

Designed for bedside reading, living room armchair positions, and corridor ambient lighting, the Cayman fits surfaces where space is limited and a single fitting needs to serve dual purposes. The 110mm projection from the wall places the reading arm approximately 260mm from the wall surface when extended, positioning it close enough to a pillow or armrest for comfortable reading without glare. The sand black finish is a textured matt coating with a slightly granular surface that reduces fingerprints and softens the industrial profile of the round backplate and cylindrical arm.

The combined 620lm output across both LEDs provides enough light for reading at close range (3W arm) and sufficient ambient wash to navigate a bedroom without switching on overhead lights (6W ring). The compact 150mm backplate diameter suits narrower wall sections between windows or furniture where larger wall lights would encroach on usable space. The 0.6kg weight requires only a single wall plug and screw on most plasterboard or masonry surfaces.

Can each LED be controlled separately?

Yes. The Cayman has two rocker switches integrated into the backplate face. One controls the 3W adjustable reading arm, the other controls the 6W ambient ring. You can operate either independently or both together.

Is the reading arm adjustable?

Yes. The 3W LED arm rotates and tilts on a ball joint, allowing you to direct the focused beam towards a reading position, a bedside table surface, or onto a wall. The arm cannot be removed but holds its position once adjusted.

Is this dimmable?

No. The integrated LEDs are not dimmable. Control is limited to switching each LED on or off via the rocker switches.

What's the difference between sand black and matt black?

Sand black is a textured matt finish with a slightly granular surface, giving it more tactile grip and making fingerprints less visible than a smooth matt black coating. It retains the industrial aesthetic without the high gloss of polished finishes.
