Description

Golden brown braid, twisted into a soft rope of two cores, gives this flex a period look without any of the fuss. The braided sleeve sits over 0.75mm conductors and is VDE approved, so it suits ordinary domestic lighting work at home. We sell it by the metre, and whatever quantity you order arrives as a continuous length rather than a bundle of short pieces, which makes measuring a drop far simpler.

The colour is a mellow tobacco brown with a golden lift in the weave, and it reads well against brass, antique brass and bare wood. We reach for it on hanging pendant sets over a kitchen island, on rewired table and floor lamps, and on trailing bulb holders in a workshop or a garden room. It suits anyone restoring an older lamp, where plain white PVC would look wrong the moment it left the ceiling rose. Where a fitting is on show from every side, the cable feeding it deserves as much thought as the shade above.

The braid is tightly woven and holds its twist, so the flex keeps a tidy line as it drops rather than corkscrewing.
