Description

Golden brown braided flex, warm and slightly antiqued in tone, sold by the metre and supplied as a single continuous run however much you order. The braided outer covers a two core flex with 0.75mm conductors, slim and pliable enough to run down through a ceiling rose or coil neatly inside the base of a table lamp. It is VDE approved cable, and the round profile keeps its shape well when hung, so a drop stays looking deliberate rather than kinked.

We keep this on the shelf for rewiring jobs and for anything built from parts: a bare bulb pendant over a kitchen island, a cluster of drops above a dining table, a restored brass lamp that deserves better than the flex it came with. The colour is quiet and earthy, so it works against brick, oak, aged brass and darker paint without shouting. It suits anyone assembling their own fittings from holders, roses and cord grips, and it is the one we choose when a customer wants the cable to read as part of the design.

The braid gives the flex a soft texture and hides the slight sheen of plain PVC, while the cores inside are insulated in the usual way. Keep it looking good by running a dry cloth along the braid now and then to lift dust from the weave, and trim ends cleanly so the braid does not fray back. It carries a one year warranty.
