Description

This simple wall light is built around a semi-circular fabric shade that hugs the wall and throws a soft, upward and downward wash. Made from linen with a steel frame, it keeps the design quiet and comfortable, letting the fabric do the work of softening the light. It measures 180mm tall and 315mm wide, projecting only 140mm from the wall, so it sits close and unobtrusive. It takes a single E27 bulb rated up to 10W and weighs just 0.5kg, which makes it easy to place.

The broad, shallow shade suits living rooms, bedrooms and hallways where you want gentle background light without a bulky fitting standing proud of the wall. The Castmere works well in pairs, spaced along a wall or set either side of a bed, and its plain shape settles into most schemes.
