Casablanca 3 Light Woven Rattan Pendant - Light Brown

The Casablanca is a 465mm spherical pendant with a woven rattan shade in natural light brown, suspended from a matt black canopy on a chain adjustable between 686mm and 2514mm drop. Three E27 bulb fittings sit inside the globe, each rated up to 60W, casting light through the open weave structure to create soft diffusion and gentle shadow patterns on surrounding walls and ceilings.

Designed for dining rooms, kitchen islands and lounge areas where both ambient light and visual interest are needed, the Casablanca pairs well with contemporary coastal, Scandinavian and bohemian interiors. The 465mm diameter suits tables up to 1.6m in length or seating areas where a single statement pendant is preferred over multiple smaller fittings. The adjustable chain allows the pendant to be set at the appropriate height during installation, typically 700-800mm above a dining surface or 2.1-2.3m above floor level in lounge settings.

The rattan weave is wrapped over a metal frame, giving the globe structural integrity while maintaining a handcrafted appearance. Each strand of rattan sits tight against the next, creating a dense pattern that softens the light output without blocking it entirely. The matt black metalwork at the top of the globe and the matching canopy and chain provide tonal contrast against the warm beige-brown of the natural fibre. What bulbs does the Casablanca take?

Three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this pendant with warm-white LED filament bulbs at 6-8W and 2700K to complement the natural rattan tone and create a relaxed atmosphere.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The pendant comes with 1828mm of chain, allowing drop adjustment between 686mm minimum and 2514mm maximum. The chain is cut to length during installation and the excess concealed in the ceiling canopy.

Is the rattan suitable for kitchens and dining rooms?

Yes. The rattan is wrapped over a metal frame and positioned away from the bulbs, so normal heat dissipation from LED or low-wattage incandescent bulbs does not damage the weave. Avoid installing directly above steam sources such as kettles or hobs.

How is the rattan cleaned?

Dust the weave gently with a dry soft brush or microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the natural fibre. Do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners on rattan.
