The Casablanca is a 406mm semi flush ceiling light with an open-weave natural rattan shade shaped into a compressed globe form, suspended from a matt black canopy. Three E27 bulb fittings inside the shade cast light through the gaps in the woven structure, creating patterned shadows on surrounding walls and ceilings while the rattan itself softens and warms the glow.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a full pendant drop would feel intrusive, the Casablanca sits 293mm down from the ceiling — close enough to avoid head clearance issues in bedrooms, hallways and smaller living rooms, but with enough depth to let the rattan shade read as a three-dimensional object rather than a flat disc. The semi flush format works well over beds, in corner reading nooks, and in entrance halls where a decorative ceiling fitting is wanted without committing to a long drop.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting projects 293mm down from the ceiling. It suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m or above, where the base of the shade will clear head height in circulation zones. The semi flush format is designed specifically for lower ceilings where a full pendant drop would be impractical.

Is the rattan treated or sealed?
