Description

The Cardoncito is an LED table lamp shaped as a single ribbon of black steel. It rises from a round disc base, curls into a loop and sweeps up into a long, slender curve. A white plastic diffuser runs along the inner face of the ribbon, so when the integrated LED is lit the whole line glows while the black outer edge stays crisp. It stands 46cm tall, 22cm long and 14cm wide, on a base 14cm in diameter. The 12W LED gives 1,400 lumens, and its IP20 rating settles where it lives: indoors, in a dry room.

It suits a side table beside an armchair or sofa, a sideboard in the living room, a hall console or a bedside table, anywhere a lamp is looked at as much as it is used. The footprint is small, so it fits a narrow surface without crowding a stack of books or a cup of tea. At 1,400 lumens it gives enough light for reading, not just a decorative glow. Because the light comes from the edge of the ribbon rather than from inside a shade, it also casts a soft wash across the wall behind it. Even switched off, the black line holds its own.

The body is steel in a black finish and the diffuser is white plastic. The LED is integrated, so there is no bulb to buy or change. The lamp is not dimmable. Instead you choose between three colour temperatures at the light itself: a warm 2700K for evenings, a neutral 4000K and a crisp, cool 6500K for close work. A switch on the cord means you never have to reach behind furniture. It runs at 220-240V, 50/60Hz and carries energy class E. The installation instructions come as a download, and the packed weight is 1.052KG.
