The Cara is a 420mm table lamp built around a single curved antique brass arm that sweeps upward from a circular base to support a faceted crystal shade at the apex. Two cut crystal spheres hang as decorative accents along the curve of the arm, catching and refracting light when the lamp is switched on. The shade itself is formed from individual crystal pieces arranged in a dome pattern around a single G9 bulb fitting.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables and occasional surfaces where decorative task lighting is needed, the lamp occupies a 180mm diameter footprint and stands 420mm tall. The antique brass finish carries a warmer, slightly aged tone compared to polished brass, making it compatible with traditional oak furniture, vintage-style interiors and warm-neutral colour schemes. The faceted crystal shade diffuses light outward and downward rather than casting a concentrated beam, providing ambient fill for a 2-3m radius around the lamp.

The curved arm is formed from solid brass bar stock, giving the lamp a substantial 1.7kg weight that keeps it stable on the surface without needing to be fixed. Each of the two crystal spheres along the arm is secured with a brass cap and rotates slightly on installation, adding visual interest when viewed from different angles. The faceted crystal pieces in the shade are individually set into the metal frame, a construction method that allows each piece to refract light independently rather than acting as a single diffuser.

What bulb does the Cara take?

The lamp takes a single G9 capsule bulb up to 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 3-5W LED G9 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for bedside or ambient lighting. G9 bulbs are smaller than standard E27 bulbs and sit inside the crystal shade housing.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use a dimmable G9 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. Not all G9 LED bulbs are dimmable, so check the bulb packaging before purchasing.

How is the crystal shade cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulb to cool completely. Wipe each faceted crystal piece gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal frame or getting water into the bulb fitting.

What's the difference between antique brass and polished brass?

Antique brass has a darker, warmer tone with a slightly aged patina, while polished brass is brighter and more reflective. The antique finish on the Cara pairs better with traditional wood furniture and warm-toned interiors, whereas polished brass suits contemporary schemes.
