Description

The Canto is a 1000mm linear suspension light with five E27 bulb holders set along a rectangular matt graphite metal frame, enclosed on all four sides by flat clear glass panels. Each of the five bulbs sits in a downward-facing socket spaced evenly across the length, with the clear glass forming a protective cage around them. The frame is suspended on two adjustable cables from a rectangular graphite ceiling plate.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and long counters, the Canto provides task and ambient lighting over surfaces that are 1.6-2.4m long. The adjustable drop allows the fitting to be set 330-1330mm from the ceiling, so it can be positioned 700-800mm above a worktop or dining table regardless of ceiling height. The clear glass on all four sides means light exits horizontally as well as downward, reducing harsh shadows and providing some ambient wash onto adjacent walls.

The matt graphite finish on the metal frame is a dark charcoal grey that reads almost black in low light but shows its grey tone under daylight. The frame itself is 260mm wide front-to-back, making it substantial enough to anchor a large island visually without overwhelming a narrower dining table. The fitting takes five E27 bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately), allowing flexibility to choose filament bulbs for a warm industrial look or frosted LED bulbs for cleaner task light. At 5kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixing to a joist or ceiling rose rated for the weight.
