Camilla 7 Light Crystal Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Polished Chrome

The Camilla is a 7 light semi-flush ceiling light built around a polished chrome oval canopy measuring 600mm x 400mm, from which multiple strands of crystal beads cascade in a wave formation to create a tunnel-like curtain effect. Seven GU10 fittings sit recessed within the chrome canopy, directing light upward through the crystal strands and downward into the room. Larger cut crystal spheres hang within the centre of the wave structure, adding depth and acting as focal points when the light refracts through them.

Designed for rooms with standard ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards, the 640mm overall drop positions the crystal strands low enough to create visual presence without encroaching on headroom in living rooms, dining areas or wide hallways. The semi-flush format mounts directly to the ceiling rose with minimal air gap, making it suitable for ceilings where a full chandelier drop would be impractical. The seven GU10 bulbs (sold separately) can be LED or halogen up to 50W each, and dimmable bulbs allow brightness control when paired with a compatible wall dimmer.

The crystal strands use beads in alternating sizes strung on fine wire, creating a dense curtain that catches ambient light even when the fitting is switched off. The polished chrome finish reflects both natural daylight and artificial light sources, amplifying the sparkle effect from the crystal. At 6.5kg the fitting requires secure fixing into a ceiling joist or rated mounting point, and the 600mm length means installation should account for clearance around ceiling-mounted smoke detectors or pendant drops from adjacent fittings.

What bulbs does the Camilla take?

The fitting takes seven GU10 bulbs up to 50W each, sold separately. Most users choose warm-white LED GU10 bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to balance brightness with the crystal refraction effect.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable GU10 bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge or leading-edge wall dimmer. Non-dimmable bulbs will work but cannot be dimmed.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 640mm overall drop works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. In lower ceilings the crystal strands may hang too close to head height in circulation zones.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe individual crystal beads and spheres with a dry microfibre cloth. For heavier dust buildup, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but dry immediately to prevent water spots.
