Description
The Calyrix is a 200mm alabaster table lamp carved from natural Spanish alabaster, formed as two stacked sections: a flared, disc-like upper bowl that opens outward, and a tapered conical base below. An integrated 3000K LED sits concealed within the stone body, lighting the alabaster from inside so the lamp reads as a single sculptural object rather than a shade-and-base assembly. The fitting runs on 230V mains via a discreet black cable.
At 200mm tall and 200mm wide, the Calyrix is sized for bedside tables, console tables, sideboards and shelving where a compact decorative light is needed. The integrated LED produces ambient rather than task-level brightness, making it well suited to evening lighting in bedrooms, living rooms and hallways. Its low, grounded proportions also work in pairs flanking a bed, sofa or hallway console where matched lamps reinforce symmetry.
Each Calyrix is cut from a natural block of Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal shifts and translucency vary between individual lamps. Under daylight the stone presents as a soft white with grey and warm-cream mineral movement; once the LED is on, the same veining becomes visible as denser and lighter zones glow at different intensities through the wall of the stone. The two-part flared profile gives the piece architectural weight without a metal frame interrupting the silhouette.

Frequently Asked
Does the Calyrix come with a bulb?
Yes. The light source is an integrated LED concealed inside the alabaster body, so no separate bulb is required or replaceable. It runs at 3000K (warm white) on 230V mains.
Is it suitable for a bedside table?
Yes. At 200mm tall and 200mm wide, the Calyrix has a compact footprint that fits most bedside tables and provides a soft ambient glow rather than directional reading light. A separate task lamp is recommended if you read in bed.
Will the alabaster pattern match between two lamps?
No two lamps are identical. Each Calyrix is cut from a natural block of Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal shifts and translucency vary piece to piece. Buyers ordering a pair should expect closely related but not matching stone patterns.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and never use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners — alabaster is porous and softer than marble.
