Description

The Calice is a 48cm diameter pendant light with a conical shade finished in matt grey on the exterior and matt white on the interior, suspended on a slender grey stem and ceiling cup. An integrated 16W LED inside the cone directs 1200 lumens of 3000K warm white light downward through a 120° beam angle, providing functional downlight for dining tables, kitchen islands and work desks.

Designed for spaces where clean geometry and controlled light distribution matter, the Calice suits contemporary kitchens, dining rooms and office environments with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. The drop is adjustable between 450mm and 2000mm on installation, allowing the pendant to be set 700-800mm above a dining surface or closer to counter height over a kitchen island. The wide cone angle provides even coverage across a 1.5-2m diameter table without creating a spotlight effect in the centre.

The grey-to-white contrast creates a two-tone effect when viewed from the side, while the white interior maximises light reflection and minimises shadows on the lit surface below. The matt finish on both colours reduces glare from the LED source and prevents the pendant from competing visually with other reflective surfaces in the room. At 1.8kg the fitting has enough weight to hang straight on the stem without needing additional stabilisation.

The integrated LED is non-dimmable and rated for 220-240V mains supply. Mantra backs the Calice with a 3-year warranty covering the LED driver and housing.

No. The integrated LED operates at fixed output on 220-240V mains and is not compatible with dimmer switches.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 450mm means the pendant requires ceiling heights of at least 2.4m to maintain comfortable head clearance when hung at typical dining height. The maximum 2000mm drop accommodates double-height spaces or stairwells.

Can the drop be adjusted after installation?

The drop is set during installation by trimming the cable and adjusting the ceiling cup height. It cannot be adjusted without accessing the ceiling rose and re-trimming the cable.
