Description

The Calice is a 32cm conical pendant light in matt white metal, housing an integrated 9W 3000K LED rated at 800 lumens. The conical shade tapers from a 320mm diameter rim to a narrow stem and cylindrical ceiling canopy, with the LED positioned inside the cone to cast light downward through a 120° beam angle. The drop is adjustable between 400mm and 2000mm on installation, allowing the pendant to be set between 600-800mm above a worktop or dining table depending on ceiling height.

Designed for kitchens, dining areas and breakfast bars where directed task light is needed without the bulk of a larger fitting, the Calice suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. The white finish reflects ambient light during the day and blends into white or off-white ceilings, while the warm 3000K light temperature works well with natural timber, warm greys and brass accents. The pendant weighs 1.2kg and fits standard UK ceiling roses.

The matt white powder-coat finish on the metal shade hides fingerprints and scuffs better than gloss white, and the simple geometry allows the Calice to pair with both contemporary minimal interiors and warmer Scandinavian or coastal styles. Is the Calice dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver is non-dimmable, so the light level cannot be adjusted once fitted. This simplifies installation but means the 800lm output is fixed.

What ceiling height does it need?

The adjustable drop ranges from 400mm to 2000mm. For a kitchen island or dining table, the pendant typically sits 600-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can accommodate the Calice if the drop is set to the minimum 400mm during installation.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The 9W LED and 3-year warranty suggest a service life of 15,000-25,000 hours, equivalent to 6-10 years if used 4-6 hours daily.

How is the white finish maintained?

The matt white powder-coat can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For marks, a barely-damp cloth with clean water is acceptable. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the powder-coat.
