Description
The Caldrisa is a two-tier circular chandelier built from vertical panels of natural Spanish alabaster set into a soft white and brass metal frame. The upper tier measures 860mm in diameter and the suspended lower tier 560mm, with a total fitting height of 300mm before drop. Twenty-six G9 lamp sockets are distributed across the two rings, lighting the alabaster from within so the stone itself becomes the diffuser.
Designed for rooms with generous ceiling height and floor area, the Caldrisa suits open-plan living spaces, formal dining rooms, double-height entrance halls and stairwells. The 860mm outer diameter calls for a clear span beneath of at least 1.4-1.6m to prevent the fitting feeling crowded, and the tiered profile reads best when viewed from below or at eye level on a landing or staircase. Suspension is via four slender cables from a circular canopy, with cable length adjustable on installation.
Each alabaster panel is cut from solid stone and shows individual veining, mineral density and tonal variation. The softly honed surface preserves the natural texture of the material, so transitions between translucent and opaque areas become visible once the lamps are lit. The brass elements — canopy, tier rings and panel fixings — are finished to a warm soft white and brass tone that pairs the metalwork closely to the cooler whites of the stone without disappearing into it.
The repeated rectangular panels and concentric rings give the Caldrisa a disciplined, architectural rhythm rather than a decorative or crystalline one. It reads as contemporary rather than traditional, and works alongside plastered walls, timber floors, stone surfaces and minimalist plaster cornicing.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Caldrisa take?
The chandelier uses 26 G9 capsule bulbs in total, distributed across the two tiers. G9 LED bulbs are recommended for lower heat output and longer life, particularly given the proximity of the lamps to the natural alabaster panels. Bulbs are sold separately.
What ceiling height does it suit?
The fitting body is 300mm tall, with additional drop from the suspension cables that can be adjusted on installation. As a rough guide, ceilings of 2.7m or higher accommodate the chandelier comfortably; for stairwells and double-height halls the cables can be set longer to position the lower tier at the appropriate sight line.
Will the alabaster panels match between pieces?
No. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tone and translucency vary from panel to panel and from chandelier to chandelier. This natural variation is a feature of the material rather than a defect, and is most visible once the lamps are lit.
How is the chandelier cleaned?
Switch off and allow the lamps to cool, then dust the alabaster panels and brass frame with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners on the alabaster, as the stone is porous. For brass elements, a barely damp cloth is acceptable, dried immediately afterwards.
