Description
The Caldris is a 292mm circular wall light built around a disc of natural Spanish alabaster, intersected horizontally by a slim satin nickel bar that crosses the full width of the stone. An integrated 3000K LED behind the alabaster turns the entire disc into a soft, warm light source, with the stone itself acting as the diffuser rather than a separate shade or lens.
At 225mm tall and projecting 102mm from the wall, the Caldris suits hallways, stairwells, bedside positions either side of a headboard, and flanking positions around mirrors or artwork. The shallow projection keeps it clear of head height in narrower corridors, and the horizontal nickel bar visually anchors the disc, making it work as a single fitting or in pairs and rhythmic runs along a longer wall.
Each alabaster disc shows different mineral veining and tonal variation depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so no two Caldris fittings look identical when lit. The alabaster is set against a solid copper internal frame finished in satin nickel, giving the bar a brushed, low-sheen appearance that reads cool against the warm glow of the stone. The 3000K colour temperature stays on the warm side of neutral, complementing the natural cream tones in the alabaster rather than pushing them blue.

Frequently Asked
Does the Caldris come with a bulb?
The LED is integrated into the fitting, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace. It runs on 230V mains at a 3000K warm white colour temperature.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
The Caldris does not have a published IP rating in our specification, so it is intended for dry interior locations such as hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and stairwells rather than bathroom zones. Please contact us if you need confirmation for a specific installation.
Does the alabaster vary between pieces?
Yes. Each disc is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, cloud patterns and translucency differ between individual pieces. The variation is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the disc gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, and do not soak the stone with water.
