Description
The Caelith Large is a 900mm vertical wall light built around a carved panel of natural Spanish alabaster, set within a brushed brass frame with a soft white inner reveal. A single G4 capsule bulb behind the stone casts light through the alabaster, illuminating the natural veining and the irregular carved edge where the stone meets the open lower section of the frame.
The slim 150mm-wide, 100mm-projection profile suits hallways, stairwells, double-height walls and tall reception spaces where a vertical accent reinforces the architecture. Mounted on a solid wall, the fitting reads as an illuminated panel rather than a traditional sconce, and the 900mm height pairs well with ceiling heights of 2.7m and above. Multiple Caelith units can be spaced along a long corridor to set rhythm along the wall.
The body combines solid copper, aluminium and natural alabaster, with the brushed brass finish softening reflections and pairing with both warm-toned and cooler interior palettes. Each alabaster panel is cut from a different section of stone, so the veining, mineral inclusions and translucency vary between individual pieces. The lower portion of the frame is left open with a soft white inner surface, which catches a secondary wash of light below the carved stone edge.

Frequently Asked
Which bulb does the Caelith Large take?
The fitting takes one G4 capsule bulb, which is not supplied with the light. Because the bulb is replaceable you can choose the brightness and colour temperature that suit the room. Please contact us if you would like advice on selecting a bulb.
Is each alabaster panel unique?
Yes. Every panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining pattern, mineral inclusions and translucency vary between pieces. The carved lower edge also follows the natural break of the stone, giving each unit an individual silhouette when lit.
What ceiling height suits the Caelith Large?
At 900mm tall, the Caelith Large is designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m and above, including hallways, stairwells, double-height entrances and tall reception spaces. In standard 2.4m ceilings the proportions can feel cramped, so the smaller Caelith in this range is a better fit.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Alabaster is porous and softer than marble, so avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners. For stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used, but do not soak the stone.
