Description

The Cabarete is a dual-function LED wall light combining a rectangular backplate with an adjustable reading arm on a flexible gooseneck. The backplate houses integrated LEDs that cast light upwards and out through side apertures, providing ambient wash light across the wall. The reading arm at the base delivers directed task light via a separate 3W LED module, positioned by bending the gooseneck to direct the beam.

Designed for bedside installation, the Cabarete provides both ambient background light and focused reading light from a single fitting. The rectangular backplate measures 156mm wide by 169mm tall with a 61mm projection from the wall, sitting comfortably above a headboard without protruding far into the room. The gooseneck arm extends approximately 200mm from the backplate when fully extended, allowing the reading light to be positioned over a pillow or book without having to move the entire fitting.

The matt black powder-coated finish absorbs light rather than reflecting it, keeping the fitting visually recessive in darker interiors and pairing well with industrial, contemporary and Scandi bedroom schemes. The combined LED output of 470 lumens at 3000K warm white provides enough ambient light to navigate a bedroom at night while the reading arm adds focused task light without disturbing a partner. A switch on the backplate controls both light sources together. The fitting weighs 495g and mounts to a standard UK back box with two fixing screws.

No. The Cabarete has a single switch that controls both the backplate ambient light and the reading arm together. The gooseneck arm is manually adjustable to direct the beam, but both LEDs operate on the same circuit.

Is the Cabarete dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The fitting operates at full 470 lumen output when switched on.

What height should it be installed at?

For bedside use, position the backplate 600-800mm above mattress height so the reading arm can be angled downwards over a pillow or book. For use above a sofa or armchair, 1200-1400mm above floor level typically works well.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Cabarete carries no IP rating and is designed for dry interior use only. It is not suitable for bathroom zones where moisture or water contact may occur.
