Description

This folding wooden photo frame opens into two white hearts joined by a pair of small hinges, with a photograph on one side and a little seaside scene on the other. The left heart has a heart-shaped window for a favourite picture. The right heart frames a shallow alcove, where two tiny houses stand on a slim natural-toned base, one in soft sea green and one in deep blue, each topped with a pale roof. The white finish is gently distressed, so the grain shows through and the edges look softly weathered. It stands 13cm high and is 1.2cm deep.

As it opens out and stands on its own, it needs no wall or nail. Set it on a mantelpiece, a bedside table or a bookshelf, opened to whatever angle suits the spot, and the hearts sit side by side like a small keepsake display.
