Description

This pair of hare figurines stands 22.5cm tall in a seated upright pose with heads tilted skyward, cast in bronze-finish polyresin. Each hare measures 9cm wide by 10cm deep at the base, with sculpted detail across the ears, haunches and limbs that catches light along the raised surfaces. The bronze finish is applied over the resin to create an antiqued metal appearance, with darker recesses and lighter highlights across the body contours.

Designed as shelf, mantel or console ornaments, the hares sit upright without additional support and work as a pair or individually. The 1.5kg combined weight gives the pair enough mass to sit securely on open shelving without risk of tipping. The moongazing pose references traditional folklore associations with hares and lunar symbolism, though the figurines function equally well as decorative objects without the symbolic reading.

The polyresin construction allows for fine moulded detail that would be cost-prohibitive in solid bronze, while the applied finish gives a metal-like appearance from typical viewing distances. The smooth surface texture makes the figurines straightforward to dust with a dry cloth. The bronze tone works with warm-toned wood furniture, darker paint colours and traditional or country-house interiors where metallic accents are already present.

The figurines are cast in polyresin with a bronze-finish coating applied to the surface. They are not solid bronze, which allows for a lower price point while maintaining the visual appearance of aged bronze from normal viewing distances.

How are they cleaned?

Wipe gently with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust. Avoid wet cleaning or household sprays, as moisture and chemicals may affect the bronze finish over time.

Can they be displayed outdoors?
