Description

The Bris is a 495mm LED picture light with a horizontal white metal bar housing an integrated 12W LED strip, mounted on a rectangular white backplate. The LED emits a neutral 4000K colour temperature through a swivel diffuser that can be angled to direct light onto the artwork surface below, reducing glare and controlling light spread.

Designed for mounting above framed artwork, photographs, mirrors and certificates, the Bris suits both residential walls and gallery installations where colour-accurate illumination is needed. The 495mm width covers most A2-A1 sized frames and medium-to-large canvas prints without the fitting extending past the frame edges. The backplate fixes to the wall with two screws and the diffuser swivels approximately 30 degrees up or down to adjust the beam angle after installation.

The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm white (2700K-3000K) and cool white (5000K-6500K), providing neutral illumination that does not shift colours towards yellow or blue tones. This makes the Bris suitable for artwork where accurate colour rendering matters, from oil paintings to photographic prints. The white metal and plastic construction keeps the fitting lightweight at under 400g, reducing the load on plasterboard walls, and the IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only.

Frequently Asked

Is the LED dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility is not stated in the specification. Most integrated LED picture lights like the Bris are wired for mains switching only. Contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm compatibility.

What size artwork does it suit?

The 495mm width suits frames and canvases from approximately 400mm to 700mm wide. For smaller frames the fitting may overhang the edges; for larger frames consider mounting two Bris fittings or choosing a wider model.

Can the light angle be adjusted?

Yes. The swivel diffuser tilts approximately 30 degrees up or down after installation, allowing you to adjust the beam angle to suit the artwork's position and reduce glare.

What is 4000K colour temperature?

4000K is a neutral white colour temperature, sitting between warm white (2700K-3000K) and cool white (5000K-6500K). It provides white light without a yellow or blue tint, making it suitable for accurately rendering artwork colours.
