Description

The Bris is a 495mm LED picture light with a 12W integrated LED strip running the length of a matt black metal arm, casting neutral 4000K white light downwards onto artwork below. The fitting mounts to the wall above the frame via a rectangular black backplate, with the horizontal arm extending 200mm forward and projecting 50mm from the wall when installed.

Designed to illuminate paintings, photographs and prints in living rooms, galleries, hallways and bedrooms, the Bris directs focused light onto the surface of the artwork without spilling into the room as ambient light. The adjustable swivel diffuser along the length of the LED strip allows the beam angle to be set during installation, so the light can be angled to suit the height and size of the frame below. The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm and cool white, rendering colours accurately without the yellow cast of warm LEDs or the blue tint of daylight-spectrum LEDs.

The metal and plastic construction keeps the overall weight low at under 500g, which means the fitting can be mounted on plasterboard walls with standard fixings without needing additional support. The matt black finish on the arm and backplate pairs with both contemporary minimalist interiors and traditional gallery settings. The white diffuser panel along the underside of the arm softens the LED output and prevents harsh shadowing on textured canvases.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED strip is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The 12W LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use, which equates to over 10 years at 6 hours per day.

Can the light angle be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The swivel diffuser along the underside of the arm can be angled during and after installation to direct the beam onto the artwork. Most users set it to cast light at approximately 30-45 degrees downward.

What is 4000K colour temperature?

4000K is neutral white, sitting midway between warm white (2700K-3000K) and cool daylight white (5000K-6500K). It renders colours accurately without adding a warm yellow or cool blue cast, making it suitable for artwork where colour fidelity matters.
