Description

The Kichler Brinley is a 282mm diameter semi-flush ceiling light with three clear glass shades resembling canning jars, mounted to an olde bronze circular canopy. Each glass shade houses a single E27 bulb (sold separately), with the clear glass allowing the bulb filament to remain visible and the light to diffuse evenly into the room. The 201mm drop from ceiling to base of the shades positions the fitting close to the ceiling while keeping the glass jars below the canopy line.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2-2.6m where a full pendant would hang too low, the Brinley suits hallways, kitchens, utility rooms, and bedrooms needing overhead lighting without pendant drop. The semi-flush mount fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose, with the canopy covering the fixing point and the three shades arranged in a triangular cluster beneath. The 60W maximum per socket allows for three 6-10W LED bulbs or traditional filament bulbs for a warmer, vintage-effect light.

The olde bronze finish on the metal canopy and socket housings carries a darkened, aged patina that pairs with industrial, farmhouse and transitional interiors where exposed metalwork and visible bulbs are design features. The clear glass shades measure approximately 100mm in diameter and 120mm in height, giving each jar enough volume to frame a decorative filament bulb without crowding the fitting. The glass sits proud of the ceiling by around 200mm, so the fitting works best in rooms where headroom is not restricted directly beneath the light.
