Description

The Brillix is a compact outdoor LED wall light with an integrated 9W 4000K LED housed in a grey powder-coated metal body with an IP54 rating. The fitting measures 100mm wide by 164mm projection, with a frosted polycarbonate lens angled forward at approximately 45° to direct light downward and outward from the mounting surface.

Designed for exterior wall mounting on porches, beside doorways, along building perimeters and on pathway edges, the Brillix provides functional task lighting rather than decorative accent. The narrow 100mm width suits installations where wall space is limited, such as between door frames and windows or on narrow pillar sections. The angled lens projects most of the light forward and down, reducing glare for anyone approaching the wall while illuminating the ground or steps immediately below.

The grey powder-coat finish resists UV degradation and moisture ingress, and pairs neutrally with most exterior render, brick and cladding colours. The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes from any direction, making the fitting suitable for exposed positions but not for direct submersion or high-pressure washing. The integrated 9W LED produces neutral 4000K white light, cooler than the warm tones typically used indoors but standard for security and wayfinding applications outdoors.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

The IP54 rating protects against splashes but not direct jets. It can be used in bathrooms outside zones 0, 1 and 2, typically on walls more than 600mm from a shower head or bath edge. For zone 1 or 2 positions an IP65 or IP67 fitting is required.

What colour is the 4000K light?

4000K is neutral white, cooler and bluer than the warm 2700K-3000K typically used in living spaces. It provides better visibility for security and wayfinding purposes outdoors, particularly in low-light conditions.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and not user-serviceable. The LED lifespan is typically 25,000-30,000 hours, which at 4 hours per day equates to 17-20 years of use. Once the LED fails the entire fitting is replaced.

How is it mounted?

The fitting back plate fixes to an external wall with two screws through mounting holes. The electrical cable feeds through a rear cable entry. Mounting hardware is typically supplied but check the box contents on delivery.
