Description
The Brillix is a 100cm tall anthracite LED bollard light with an integrated warm white 3000K LED and an IP54 weatherproof rating. The light source sits in a square head at the top of a tall square-section post, angled to cast downward onto pathways, driveways and garden borders without glare at eye level.
Designed for residential and commercial outdoor lighting where height and downward throw are needed, the Brillix suits driveways, long pathways alongside walls, commercial forecourts and garden perimeter runs where low-level bollards would be obscured by planting or low walls. The 100cm height positions the light above typical low border shrubs and gives a longer throw than standard 60cm bollards, reducing the number of units needed along a 10-15m path run.
The anthracite powder-coated aluminium post and head are rated IP54, protecting against dust ingress and water spray from any direction. This makes the Brillix suitable for year-round outdoor installation in the UK climate, including exposed positions subject to wind-driven rain. The square-section post has a 138.5mm width and a 123mm projection from the base plate to the front edge of the head, giving the bollard a substantial presence without dominating narrow side passages.
The integrated LED is non-replaceable and rated for approximately 25,000 hours at 3000K, producing a warm white light output similar to halogen without the heat or energy draw. The bollard is non-dimmable and designed for mains connection via underground armoured cable terminating at the base. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty covering material and manufacturing defects.

Frequently Asked
Can the LED be replaced?
No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and non-replaceable. It is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation, which at typical use of 6 hours per night equates to around 11 years before noticeable degradation.
What IP rating does it carry and where can it be installed?
The Brillix is rated IP54, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and water spray from any direction. This makes it suitable for exposed outdoor positions including driveways, pathways, garden borders and commercial forecourts in the UK climate.
How is it installed?
The bollard is designed for hard-wired mains installation via underground armoured cable terminating at the base. A qualified electrician should carry out the installation, including cable burial at the required depth and connection to a suitable outdoor circuit with RCD protection.
What is the light output and beam pattern?
The bollard casts downward onto the ground from the angled head at 100cm height. The warm white 3000K LED produces a similar colour to halogen without the heat or energy consumption. Exact lumen output is not specified by Ideal Lux for this model, but the 100cm height gives a longer throw than standard 60cm bollards.
