Description

The Brillia track adapter is a mechanical connector that fixes Ideal Lux track spotlights to single-circuit track rails. The adapter body is moulded from black plastic with internal metal contact plates that carry mains voltage from the track to the spotlight fitting. At 92mm length and 32mm projection from the track rail, the adapter provides a secure mechanical and electrical connection without adding significant bulk to the overall fitting.

Designed for indoor track lighting installations in retail, hospitality and residential settings, the adapter suits Ideal Lux's Brillia range of track spotlights and is compatible with standard single-circuit track systems. The matt black finish matches black track rails and provides a discreet connection point when the track is mounted on white or light-coloured ceilings. The adapter clicks into the track rail and locks with a quarter-turn mechanism, allowing spotlights to be repositioned along the rail without needing to disconnect the wiring.

The IP20 rating confirms the adapter is suitable for dry indoor locations only and should not be used in bathrooms, kitchens subject to steam, or outdoor installations. Each adapter carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux. The plastic body is impact-resistant and handles the thermal load from standard LED and halogen track spotlights without deformation under normal operating conditions.

Frequently Asked

Is this adapter compatible with all track lighting systems?

The Brillia adapter is designed for single-circuit track rails and works with Ideal Lux Brillia track spotlights. Compatibility with other brands depends on whether they use the same track profile and contact arrangement. Contact us before ordering if you need to confirm compatibility with a non-Ideal Lux track system.

Can spotlights be moved along the track once fitted?

Yes. The adapter locks into the track with a quarter-turn mechanism, allowing you to reposition spotlights along the rail without disconnecting or re-wiring. Turn the adapter to release, slide to the new position, and turn to lock again.

What's the maximum wattage the adapter can handle?

The adapter is rated for mains voltage track systems and handles the load from standard LED and halogen track spotlights. Specific wattage limits depend on the track system's overall circuit rating rather than the adapter itself.

Can this be used in bathrooms or kitchens?

No. The IP20 rating means the adapter offers no protection against moisture and is suitable for dry indoor locations only. Do not use in bathrooms, kitchens subject to steam, or any outdoor installation.
