The kit is designed to suspend pendant lights at adjustable heights without requiring a traditional ceiling rose — the cable is tensioned between a ceiling fixing point and a wall anchor, creating a suspended line from which pendant lights can hang.

This installation method suits rooms where running cable through ceiling voids is difficult or impractical, including concrete ceilings, heritage buildings with restricted access above the ceiling, and open-plan spaces where a visible cable run is part of the design intent. The 5m length allows the cable to span diagonally across a room or drop straight down with significant adjustability. The grip mechanism locks the cable at the desired tension and can be repositioned by loosening the barrel, adjusting the cable position, and re-tightening.

The black powder-coated finish on the metal components pairs with black braided cable or exposed industrial wiring on pendant lights. The 15mm diameter barrel and bracket give the kit a low-profile presence on the wall or ceiling. The steel wire rope is rated to support typical pendant light weights (exact load rating depends on installation angle and span — see fitting instructions). Does this kit include electrical wiring or a ceiling rose?

No. The Brillia is a mechanical suspension system only. It consists of the steel wire rope, grip barrel, wall bracket and fixings. You will need to supply your own pendant light with cable, lamp holder and ceiling rose or alternative ceiling termination method.

What weight can it support?

The load capacity depends on the installation span and angle. A vertically-hung pendant on a short drop can typically support 3-5kg, while a long diagonal span reduces the safe working load. Refer to the fitting instructions or contact us for guidance on your specific installation.

Can the height be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The grip mechanism allows the cable tension to be released, the pendant position adjusted, and the cable re-tensioned without dismantling the entire installation. This is useful for fine-tuning the drop height after seeing the light in situ.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

No. The Brillia is rated for indoor use in dry environments only. It is not weatherproofed and should not be used in covered outdoor areas, bathrooms or other locations with moisture exposure.
