The Brillia trimless middle power input is a 168mm connector that feeds mains power into the centre of a 3-phase track lighting run. It sits flush with the track profile and connects to ceiling-mounted mains wiring, allowing power to be introduced at any point along the track rather than only at the ends. The white finish matches Ideal Lux's Brillia track system and most other white 3-phase track profiles.

Used in retail, hospitality and residential installations where track lighting spans longer distances or changes direction, the middle power input eliminates the need to run all power from a single end-feed point. This is particularly useful in L-shaped or U-shaped track layouts, or in runs exceeding 2-3m where voltage drop becomes a concern. The connector carries IP20 indoor rating and is designed for ceiling-mounted surface track systems, not recessed trimless track.

The input measures 168mm in length with a 35mm projection from the track base and 32mm height, matching standard 3-phase track dimensions. Two fixing screws secure the unit to the ceiling, with internal copper contacts transferring power to the track's three live circuits plus neutral and earth. The on-off switch on the unit allows the entire track run fed from this point to be isolated without accessing the consumer unit, useful during lamp changes or maintenance.

What is a middle power input used for?

For guaranteed compatibility, use this with Ideal Lux Brillia track.

Does the on-off switch control the entire track?

The on-off switch on this middle power input controls only the section of track fed from this specific input point. If your track has multiple power inputs (e.g. one at each end plus this middle input), each input's switch controls only its own feed circuit.

Can this be used with dimmable track lights?

The power input itself is not dimmable, meaning it does not have dimming controls built in. However, if your track lights are individually dimmable (controlled by a separate dimmer or via remote/app), those lights can still dim when connected to this power input.
