Description

The Briller is a 50cm flush ceiling light built around a circular gold metal frame strung with hundreds of amber acrylic beads. An integrated 70W 3000K LED sits inside the ring and casts warm white light outward through the beadwork, so the amber spheres themselves carry the visual weight of the fitting. At 19cm tall, it sits close to the ceiling rather than dropping into the room.

The flush profile makes the Briller a workable choice for rooms with lower ceilings of around 2.2-2.4m, where a pendant or chandelier would intrude into head height. It suits living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms and entrance halls, where the warm 3000K colour temperature reads as ambient rather than task lighting. The single-point ceiling fixing covers a standard UK ceiling rose footprint.

The amber beads are moulded acrylic rather than cut glass or crystal, which keeps the overall weight manageable for ceiling installation and reduces the cost relative to glass-bead equivalents. When lit, the beads refract the LED light internally and project warm amber tones onto the surrounding ceiling and walls, giving the fitting a glow that extends beyond its 50cm diameter. Unlit, the beads read as a dense honey-coloured ring against the gold frame.

Is the Briller suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. At 19cm tall it sits flush to the ceiling and works well in rooms with ceiling heights from around 2.2m upward. It is a sensible alternative to a pendant or chandelier where head height is limited.

Does it come with the LED, or do I need to buy a bulb?

The Briller has an integrated 70W 3000K LED built into the fitting, so no separate bulb is required. The LED is not user-replaceable as a standard bulb would be.

Are the beads glass or acrylic?

The beads are moulded amber acrylic. This keeps the overall weight low for ceiling installation and is more impact-resistant than glass, while still refracting the LED light to give a warm glow when illuminated.

How is it cleaned?

Switch off at the mains and allow the fitting to cool. Dust the beads with a soft, dry microfibre cloth or a long-handled duster. For heavier marks, a barely-damp cloth with water is acceptable on the acrylic beads, but avoid solvents or abrasive cleaners that can craze the surface.
