Description

The Bridgepoint is a medium-sized outdoor wall lantern built around a spherical clear seeded glass globe enclosed in a protective brass cage, mounted on a rectangular backplate in natural brass. The lantern holds a single E27 bulb (sold separately, maximum 60W) inside the glass, with the cage providing both physical protection and visual reference to traditional ship lanterns.

Designed for external walls on porches, patios, and coastal properties, the Bridgepoint carries an IP44 rating for protection against splashing water and solid objects larger than 1mm. The 258mm projection from the wall and the decorative upper bracket give the fitting a proportioned presence on rendered, brick or timber-clad exteriors. The natural brass finish weathers over time when exposed to the elements, developing a patina that darkens the metal and reduces its initial shine.

The seeded glass has air bubbles trapped within it during manufacture, creating texture that catches and diffuses light from the bulb. The aluminium construction keeps the weight manageable for typical external wall fixings, and the cage bars provide a visual rhythm around the glass without blocking significant light output. The rectangular backplate measures approximately 120mm wide and mounts to a standard UK outdoor electrical back box.
