Description

The Breeze is an 8-light chandelier built around curved gold-finish metal arms and clear glass shades, with an 850mm diameter and 550mm drop from canopy to base. Each of the eight arms terminates in a fluted glass shade and an E14 bulb holder (bulbs sold separately). The glass components include a central stem of stacked spheres and ribs, a lower bowl beneath the arms, and individual cup-shaped shades at each light position.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Breeze provides decorative ambient light rather than concentrated task lighting. The 850mm span suits dining tables between 1.6-2.2m in length and works above kitchen islands or in hallways where the chandelier needs to fill a central ceiling position without overwhelming the room. The IP20 rating restricts installation to dry indoor locations only.

The clear glass reflects and refracts light from each bulb, multiplying the output across the room. The gold finish on the metal frame and fittings provides a warm accent that pairs with brass, bronze and warm-toned timber interiors. The chandelier is dimmable when paired with compatible E14 LED bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer, allowing the output to be adjusted for different times of day. The five-year warranty from Ideal Lux covers manufacturing defects in the glass and metalwork.

Frequently Asked

What bulbs does the Breeze take?

The chandelier takes eight E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most buyers use warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for ambient dining room or hallway lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 LED bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. The dimmer capability depends on the specific bulb model chosen, so check bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before purchasing.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 550mm drop from canopy to base works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. For dining tables, the chandelier typically hangs 700-900mm above the table surface, which requires a minimum 2.7m ceiling after accounting for the chandelier height and clearance.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the Breeze to dry indoor locations only. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms, covered outdoor areas or any location where moisture exposure is likely.
