Description
The Breeze-2 is an 800mm crystal chandelier from Ideal Lux, built on a chrome-plated metal frame with eight curved arms, each holding an E14 candle bulb and a crystal bobèche. Strings of faceted crystal droplets cascade from the arms and central column, refracting light across the fitting when lit. The chandelier requires eight E14 bulbs sold separately, and is dimmable when paired with compatible dimmer switches and bulbs.
Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and double-height entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Breeze-2 provides ambient decorative lighting rather than concentrated task light. The 810mm height from canopy to lowest crystal drop suits rooms where the chandelier can hang freely without obstruction, typically 700-900mm above a dining table or 2m above floor level in an entrance hall. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations only.
The chrome finish on the metal frame and bulb sleeves reflects light from the bulbs and bounces it through the surrounding crystal, creating highlights across the faceted surfaces. Each arm curves outward from the central stem, distributing the eight light sources in a balanced circle. The crystal droplets are machine-cut glass, giving consistent faceting across all pieces, and the chandelier weighs approximately 6kg when fully assembled, requiring secure ceiling fixing into a joist or suitable anchor point.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Breeze-2 take?
The chandelier takes eight E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair it with candle-shaped warm-white LED bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K for traditional ambient lighting. Bulbs must be dimmable if you intend to use a dimmer switch.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, the fitting itself supports dimming. However, dimmer compatibility depends on pairing the chandelier with dimmable E14 bulbs and a dimmer switch rated for the total load. Contact us if you need guidance on compatible dimmer models.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 810mm drop from canopy to lowest crystal point works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. In dining rooms, the chandelier typically hangs 700-900mm above the table surface. In entrance halls or living rooms, allow at least 2m clearance from the floor to the lowest crystal.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Switch off the power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Wipe each crystal droplet individually with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal fittings or letting water run into the bulb sockets.
