Brecken 2 Light Pendant - Old Bronze with Cased Opal Glass Shades

The Brecken is a 2-light pendant with a linear old bronze frame supporting two cased opal glass shades, each housing an E27 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately). The 370mm-wide structure hangs from a circular bronze canopy on an adjustable drop ranging from 524mm to 1439mm, allowing the pendant to be set at the appropriate height above a worktop or table during installation.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars between 1.2m and 1.8m long, the Brecken provides even light distribution across the surface through two separate light sources rather than a single central point. The cased opal glass diffuses the bulb glow into a soft, ambient output that reduces harsh shadows while maintaining enough clarity for food preparation and dining. The dual-light configuration works particularly well where symmetry is needed or where a single pendant would leave dark spots at the ends of a longer surface.

The old bronze finish on the metal frame carries a matte, slightly aged patina that pairs with traditional, transitional and industrial interiors. The bronze structure includes vertical rods that extend down from the canopy to the shade housings, creating a geometric frame around each opal globe. The cased opal glass itself is a two-layer construction with an inner white casing and an outer clear layer, giving the shade a milky appearance when unlit and a warm, diffused glow when lit. What bulbs does the Brecken take?

Each shade takes one E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this pendant with two warm-white LED bulbs between 6W and 10W at 2700K-3000K for dining and kitchen use.

What table length does it suit?

The 370mm width and two-light configuration work best over tables or islands between 1.2m and 1.8m long. For longer surfaces, consider two Brecken pendants spaced evenly, or a larger multi-light pendant from the Quoizel range.

How far should it hang above a table?

The adjustable drop allows the pendant to be set 700-900mm above a dining table surface, or 600-750mm above a kitchen island worktop. The exact height depends on ceiling height and personal preference, but these ranges provide balanced light without obstructing sightlines across the table.

Is the drop adjustable after installation?

The drop length is set during installation by adjusting the cable within the canopy. Once fitted and secured, the drop is fixed unless the fitting is taken down and re-adjusted. Plan the desired drop height before final installation.
